

This option is for persons not affiliated with a CITI Program subscriber organization, or who require content that their organization does not provide. After completion of community health and earning the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, students are eligible to apply for a California Public Health Nursing Certificate. Use this option if you are paying for your courses. This indicates the importance Black students feel that they are present and represented on campuses. Curriculum includes online courses that incorporate health assessment, research, leadership and critical thinking skills and one one off-campus community experience course. CSUEB’s BSU president Jasmine Domino a third year, states her reasoning for wanting to attend CSUEB in the first place was due because it had the highest Black population at the time and I wanted to see what my Black culture was like.

Students attend that already have a California RN license and an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). The Post-Licensure programs are mostly online programs that consist of two years of advanced nursing courses on a part-time schedule. Nursing courses include both on and off campus experiences and incorporate simulation, interventions lab, community engagement and clinical experiences in local hospitals, community health agencies and retirement communities. Students with an LVN license may apply to the LVN-BSN Pathway within the Pre-Licensure program.
